Permafest... at The Shire!Welcome to Permafest... feasting and fasting, a balanced cycle of living with the seasons of nature and the cosmos. Celebrate life, healing, growth and the joy and harmony of our spiritual nature, unfolding to the music and rhythm of the spheres...
Middle Earth is all about finding that middle path... with a touch of the ancient... the Middle Ages... and a touch of the magical... Elvish science and arts. Creativity, imagination and freedom are gifts of the spirit meant to enrich our growth as viable cells in God's mystical body here in this womb of Heaven. We utilize natural, local and recycled materials for construction and crafts like furniture making and sculpture. Land sculpting includes dwarvish underground rooms and preservation of landforms like underground lava tubes. Respect and enjoy the beauty and awe that is nature's gift, while restoring the Earth gardens to feed and nourish us, body and soul. E komo mai... |

The rainforest is dying at The Shire, just like in LOTR, only in this case the cause may be the Ohia trees sensitivity to chemical solvents injected into deep hot rock geothermal wells originally intended for Manganese nodule smelting for the Orc military industrial complex.
We need help to harvest the dead trees sustainably to build Middle Earth, and replant tropical hardwoods and food forests for the future generations of Hobbits and Wood Elves. We will be crowdfunding for an aerial survey to be able to plan this massive undertaking. The aerial survey uses Lidar, like Radar, but using different light frequencies, from an airplane, to map out the height of the forest canopy as well as the lay of the land on this area that is a mile long and is on the edge of the largest intact tropical rainforest in the archipelago. The aerial Lidar survey, for less money than any ground surveying, will show areas where the native forest is still thriving, areas where harvesting and regeneration are needed, and the best location for constructing ponds and lakes.
